How it works

After cleansing your face thoroughly, a mild acidic solution is applied to the treatment area and left for a few minutes. The external and oldest layer of skin will gradually dissolve and peel off, exposing a younger and fresher layer with fewer imperfections.The result is renewed skin with a youthful complexion and radiant look.

How long do the results last?

Your skin is constantly regenerating, but also defending itself against the elements, like the sun, cold wind, and even harsh creams and cosmetics like makeup. Over time the outer layer of your skin will become compromised, but the extent of this will depend on factors like age, lifestyle, and what you are exposed to.Superficial peels only remove the outermost layer, so it is not a harsh treatment and can form part of a course of treatments spanning several months. It is advisable to allow at least 1-4 weeks between treatments to enable your skin to properly peel and heal.

How is Skin Peel administered?

After thoroughly cleansing your face, Sadie will apply a mild acidic formula to the area being treated. The formula will rest on your face for up to 5 minutes. After the outer layer of your skin has dissolved, Sadie will gradually remove the peel using water to neutralise revealing your new, vibrant skin. Afterwards, an SPF cream will be applied to protect your skin from the sun. The formula type and concentration will vary according to your skin condition, goals, and the depth of the peel administered. Sadie will recommend a formula based on your skin concerns.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment typically takes 20-30 minutes, which includes analysis of your skin concern, cleansing your skin before treatment begins, and the duration of applying and rinsing the solution.

Are they safe?

Yes, skin peels are safe when applied by a qualified professional.

How long do I need to recover?

Superficial skin peels are considered a zero-downtime procedure because you can continue with your daily activities immediately after treatment. You may experience redness, mild rashes, and dry and flaky skin, but this is normal and will fade in a matter of hours or days.

Who should not use Skin Peel?

If you have an inflammation, a cold sore, or an active skin condition like psoriasis, then it is best to wait until the symptoms subside before engaging in this treatment.
