Profhilo differs from dermal fillers because it does not aim to change the volume in your face by ‘filling’ it, and instead stimulates your skin to improve its quality over time. It is less intrusive and much safer, although the effects are more subtle.
How it works
Profhilo targets fibroblasts, the connective tissue within your dermis, and keratinocytes in the epidermis. It nourishes them with high concentrations of hyaluronic acid, which promotes the production of elastin – the protein in your skin that keeps it tight and free from sagging, and collagen, another protein that gives your skin its firm and smooth texture.We naturally produce elastin and collagen, but production slows as we age.
